I Listen to the Crows - LIVE

Free to Grow

In cart Not available Out of stock

Jeff heard a crow saying "hello" outside the bedroom window earlier in the year. Combine that with crow observations and folklore from different cultures and a song is born.

This live recording is from the first time the song was played by the band at a show on November 1, 2025 at the Charlotte Street Art Center in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

A former colleague was diagnosed with incurable cancer shortly after retiring. During this palliative period he told his wife "eat the fucking cake."

This song is dedicated to the memory of a great man, husband and father who was lost to us way too soon. Fuck cancer!!

A Canadian reaction to threats of annexation by a hostile United States Executive Branch. We have our “elbows up” and will fight this threat.

In a world filled with intolerance and misinformation, fuelled by Trumpism and other “populist” and authoritarian ideologies, there is hope but it can feel like we are stuck on a train headed towards a very bleak future. A train headed down a fixed set of tracks to nowhere.

It is our collective duty to resist this threat to decency.
